La muerte de Bausch ha caído como una bomba en Alemania, donde la sorpresa y el dolor se han puesto de manifiesto en la multitud de reacciones que se han producido en todos los ámbitos.
"Todos estamos consternados sobre la noticia de su muerte prematura", escribió el presidente alemán, Horst Köhler, en un mensaje dirigido al hijo de Bausch, Rolf Salomon.
La coreógrafa alemana Pina Bausch, cuyo trabajo es reconocido por haber revolucionado el lenguaje de la danza moderna, murió el martes a los 68 años de un cáncer diagnosticado días antes.
Bausch, directora artística del Wuppertal Dance Theater, se ganó el reconocimiento mundial por sus actuaciones de vanguardia y sus coreografías, que mezclaban baile, sonido y narrativa fragmentada.
