The Prague International Ballet is a non-profit organization founded in 2005. Its mission is to improve the level of professional education, to preserve the world ballet heritage and to introduce the best professional ballet dancers by world-famous choreographers to Czech Republic.

The Ballet Week of the Bavarian State Ballet by now has a long and glamorous history.
Founded in the nineteen-fifties, this festival week in spring traditionally offers a combination of the newest creations and highlights of the current repertoire of the Bavarian State Ballet as well as guest performances of important international companies and famous guest stars.

Una triste noticia aparecida el pasado domingo 26 de enero, apresuraba los recuerdos en mi mente: Después de corta enfermedad, había fallecido en Bal Harbour, Florida, la bailarina húngara Nora Kovach, quien pudiera ser considerada entre los primeros desertores del bloque soviético (por más que llamarlos refugiados era el adjetivo preferido de la época).

Holland Dance Festival 2009
The upcoming edition of the Holland Dance Festival will take place in the fall of 2009. We are currently compsoing the programme.
For almost three weeks, dance companies and artists from the Netherlands and around the world, will present some sixty performances in five theatres and at special locations. At the same time, an extensive variety of dance workshops will be offered. Also, a procession of more than a thousand amateur performers will dance through the centre of The Hague in the fouth edition of the Dansparade.
Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet Season 2009
Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet will perform a special New York City engagement May 5 – 10, 2009 at The Joyce Theater, 175 Eighth Avenue (at 19th Street).
The acclaimed company is returning to the Joyce with a new program of work from the gifted choreographer featuring: “Rasa”, an exhilarating and transformative work set to tabla master Zakir Hussain’s rhythmic beat and another New York Premiere tba.

Bajo el nombre de SENSE FI y CONQUASSABIT, se podrán ver entre el 16 y el 26 de abril en la Sala Fabià Puigserver del TEATRE LLIURE DE BARCELONA. Dos piezas creadas para diez intérpretes (entre los que esta el mismo Gelabert) y donde destaca la presencia de un reparto más amplio de lo habitual, integrado por seis bailarines y cuatro bailarinas.

Between 1909 and 1929 the spectacular productions of Serge Diaghilev's "Ballets Russes" transformed the presentation of dance. Diaghilev brought leading modern artists, composers and choreographers together to collaborate on new ballets: the result was an integration of art, dance and music that was unique in its time and still remains influential.
