On Saturday 28 May (10am-10pm) Central School of Ballet in London will be holding a day of dance with classes for all ages and abilities and guest performances from dance professionals.
It costs £15 to register and all proceeds will be donated to to the British Red Cross for the relief effort in Japan.
Phyllis Bedells Bursary
The Phyllis Bedells Bursary 2011 was held at the RAD headquarters on Sunday 27 March. 29 candidates competed in order to win £1,000 to be invested in further training. The bursary was awarded to John Rhys Halliwell, 16, British, from the Royal Ballet Lower School, former finalist of the RAD's Fonteyn Nureyev Young Dancers Competition in 2006.

The José Limón Dance Foundation is pleased to present, at its June 9th Gala, a performance of Limón’s 1958 masterpiece MISSA BREVIS, live in collaboration with the 40-member choir Voices of Ascension, conducted by Dennis Keene. Missa Brevis was last performed in New York ten years ago at Riverside Church. Also on the program is an excerpt from A CHOREOGRAPHIC OFFERING and THE MOOR’S PAVANE, both also performed to live music. Another special treat at the Gala will be a piano interlude by the gifted pianist Anna Celeste.

The Guangdong Acrobatic Troupe of China returns to the UK with its spectacular production of Swan Lake, which took audiences by storm on its first visit in 2008.

he “Hamburger Ballett-Tage” (Hamburg Ballet Days) are traditionally the final highlight of THE HAMBURG BALLET season. This year from June 26 to July 10, the 37th edition of the festival presents not only the world premiere of John Neumeier’s latest ballet on a symphony by Gustav Mahler, but also a very special gust company: The National Ballet of China. In addition, the festival presents all repertoire highlights of the season 2010/2011 within the two weeks. Another guest will be singer Thomas Hampson.

Estudió ballet y danza moderna en Estados Unidos y Europa, lugares en donde se dedicó a la coreografía. Además, se desempeñó como periodista y diseñadora. Por las venas de la familia de la fallecida bailarina corre el arte. Su padre Luis Enrique Osorio, fue uno de los dramaturgos más reconocidos del país, estuvo casada con el maestro Alejandro Obregón y su hijo Rodrigo Obregón es actor.
