INVITATION TO BALLET COMPETITION

New Generation – International Youth Ballet and Contemporary Competition

The International Youth Ballet Association was formed in August 2005 with the express purpose of creating a forum for all ballet and dance related events that involve young dancers who are still studying/training or starting a career and offer support for their development in the profession.

We intend to place great emphasis on establishing and nurturing international contacts between dancers, teachers, and choreographers.

Our aim is to take on the responsibility to follow the path of recently graduated dancers with a view to assist in their search of finding opportunities for work. Above all else we will work hard to maintain and strengthen the relationships between the dance schools and the leadership of dance companies so personal contacts can be established.

With this aim in mind we have already twice organized an international youth dance competition. Our endeavour is that such events offer dancers an opportunity to benchmark themselves against their peers and allow them to show off their talents to the luminaries of the profession – hoping that they might gain contracts in the future.

Our events aspire to satisfy the abovementioned aims within the best possible circumstances.
