El teatro Bolshoi nos trae una nueva producción, por una noche el Bolshoi asume un nuevo reto: el encuentro de algunos de los mejores bailarines del mundo y de los maestros de la coreogra fin a contemporánea en una síntesis ejemplar.
Una velada irrepetible en la que se darán cita la belleza formal de las Variations de Hans Van Manen y Frank Bridge, la intensidad de Sol León y Paul Lightfoot, Short Time Togetheri el ingenio y la luz de Alexei Ratmansky y Russian Seasons.
Bolshoi Theater has confirmed resignation of one of the ballet company stars, internationally acclaimed prima ballerina Maria Alexandrova. The resignation was voluntary, it said.
«On January 19, 2017, People’s Artist of Russia Maria Alexandrova filed a request for voluntary resignation,» a spokesperson for the theater said. «This was Ms. Alexandrova’s personal decision.»
For the seventh consecutive year, the Bolshoi Ballet opens its doors to audiences in cinemas across the globe with its 2016-2017 season: 7 unique ballets, comprising four broadcasts live from Moscow via satellite (“The Golden Age”, “The Sleeping Beauty”, “A Contemporary Evening”, and “A Hero Of Our Time”) and three other must-sees of the company (“The Bright Stream”, “The Nutcracker” and “Swan Lake”), will be presented in HD with 5.1 sound.

The Bolshoi Ballet ‘brand’ was born sixty years ago during the Company’s first foreign tour. The tour was to London and the date was 1956. The Bolshoi Ballet appeared at The Royal Opera House where the ovations brought the house down and aroused a second wave of interest in ballet in general and in Russian ballet, in particular (the stimulus for the first wave was, of course, Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes). It was the 1956 tour which made the Company’s name and won for it worldwide recognition.

The Bolshoi Ballet presents their delightful staging of Cervantes’ timeless story. Eccentric hero Don Quixote has filled his head with stories about knights and chivalry.
He’s accompanied by his loyal squire Sancho Panza on a journey to make his name and also to discover his perfect woman. On their adventures, Don Quixote runs across the beautiful Kitri, an innkeeper’s daughter, and becomes convinced that she is the woman he has been searching for. Don Quixote is one of the most famous and influential stories in all of literature, and now the Bolshoi Ballet’s staging of Cervantes’ classic tale is broadcast in Cineworld live from Moscow.
