The Vaganova Ballet Academy is reviving the International Ballet Competition Vaganova-PRIX 2016.
The Vaganova Ballet Academy supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation is reviving the International Ballet Competition Vaganova-PRIX for students of choreographic schools, colleges and academies. This year, the seventh edition of the Competition will be held in St. Petersburg on October 23– 29.

A sus 41 años, Uliana Lopátkina, es hoy la encarnación del ballet clásico en su forma más pura. Es la transmisora más fiel de la tradiciones academicistas de la danza en la Rusia zarista, que, sorprendentemente, se mantuvieron durante toda la época soviética y constituyen la esencia del ballet clásico en la Rusia actual. Sobre todo en el Teatro Mariinski de San Petersburgo, en donde Lopátkina es la primera bailarina.
