ABT PREMIERES Y ALL ASHTON PROGRAMS
Después de tres semanas de ballets de largo metraje, el American Ballet Theatre (ABT) trajo a la escena del Metropolitan, dos programas con tres o cuatro obras en cada uno, que ha titulado (según traduzco) “Estrenos del ABT”, y “Programa todo de Ashton”.
En el primero, con coreografías de Twyla Tharp, Alexei Gramatsky, y Jerome Robbins, hubo para todos los gustos.

Susan Jaffe, a former Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre, has been named Ballet Mistress with the Company. The appointment, effective October 2010, was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie.

Muere la bailarina Marina Semenova
La legendaria bailarina rusa Marina Semenova muere a los 102 años.
"El Bolshoi, como todos los representantes del ballet ruso lloran" la muerte de Marina Semenova, declaró el director general del Bolshoi, Anatoli Iksanov, citado por la agencia RIA Novosti. "Una leyenda que escribió las mejores páginas del Bolshoi se fue. Hasta los últimos instantes de su vida, Marina Semenova fue fiel al Bolshoi, donde brilló como primera bailarina", agregó.
