Nueva York celebrará la despedida de su Bailarín Principal el jueves, 30 de junio 2011 en el Metropolitan Opera House.
La velada destacará por contar con la actuación especial Carreño en el papel de Príncipe Sigfrido, del Lago de los Cisnes junto a las bailarinas Julie Kent como Odette y Gillian Murphy como Odile.

Jose Manuel Carreño, a Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre since 1995, will retire from the Company in August 2011 following performances on the Company’s tour to Asia.

La Phármaco surge del encuentro entre bailarines de Ladinamo Danza, compañía que dirige Camille C. Hanson, y estudiantes de la RESAD. Desembocan en un género extraño, sin nombre, cuyo motivo esencial es desentrañar al hombre a través del movimiento y la actuación, y compartir el intento desde la escena.

Iphigenie auf Tauris, ópera de Christoph Willibald Gluck estrenada en el Burgtheater de Viena en 1781, es la versión alemana de su Iphigénie en Tauride –ópera en cuatro actos estrenada en París en 1779 con gran éxito– a partir de la traducción de Johann Baptiste von Alxinger, revisada por el compositor, versión que ha prevalecido en el mundo germánico, donde forma parte del repertorio y que se presenta en España por primera vez.
