American Ballet Theatre’s 2010 Spring Season at the Metropolitan Opera House, May 17-July 10, will celebrate the Company’s 70th Anniversary with a tribute to legendary ballerina Alicia Alonso and the 30th Anniversary of Natalia Makarova’s production of La Bayadère. The season will also feature the Company Premiere of John Neumeier’s Lady of the Camellias.

El próximo viernes 12 de marzo, a las 19.30 horas, el maestro Gilbert Mayer, máximo exponente de la Escuela Francesa de Ballet, y Alicia de la Corte, catedrática del Instituto Superior de Danza de Madrid, impartirán la conferencia “La tradición de la escuela francesa y su evolución estilística y estética hasta nuestros días”, en el Instituto Francés (Marqués de la Ensenada, 10).

John Cranko’s interpretation of Yevgeny Onegin, Pushkin’s classic novel of unrequited love. Great story telling, passion and lyricism to a wonderful score specially created from music by Tchaikovsky. Period designs evoke all the variety and colour of Imperial Russia – the perfect setting in which to follow the blossoming of Tatiana and the plunge into despair of Onegin.

BOLSHOI BALLET PREMIERES OF THE 2010/11 SEASON
The 2010/11 Ballet Season will be entirely devoted to the music and choreography of the 20th and 21st centuries – this is the first time the Bolshoi Theatre has built a season round a theme. To get a feel of the style, manner and nerve of the present day and to discover the pulse of tomorrow is the natural wish of all live theatre.
The season opens with the world premiere (14 September) of a one off project – APOCALYPSE, a full-length ballet by Angelin Preljocaj, the French contemporary dance choreographer.
IT DANSA en el Teatre Liceu
IT Dansa es un proyecto pedagógico creado por el Institut del Teatre de la Diputació de Barcelona que permite a un grupo de bailarines-alumnos, completar su formación con coreografías de destacados artistas y con un programa de actuaciones en el circuito teatral, facilitándoles de esta manera, un marco para la práctica profesional.
La dirección artística de IT Dansa está a cargo de Catherine Allard, formada como bailarina en el Nederlands Dans Theater y en la Compañía Nacional de Danza.

A principios del pasado mes de octubre, a sus 69 años, encontramos a este rubio moscovita en Joinville, Brasil, donde se encuentra la única Escuela del Bolshoi fuera de Moscú. El motivo de su estancia era montar el ballet "Giselle" para la escuela en el marco de los festejos que se llevarán a cabo el próximo marzo por su décimo aniversario.

Mudanzas, Encuentros con la nueva danza 2010
Cartagena vuelve a su cita anual con la danza contemporánea, y es que del 8 al 17 de abril se celebrará la novena edición del festival MuDanzas, Encuentros con la Nueva Danza.
Organizado por la Concejalía de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Cartagena, donde las compañías de Akram Khan, Dani Pannullo y Aracalandanza en el Nuevo Teatro Circo, y Janet Rühl & Arnd Müller, AcquaAlta, Otra Danza, R.E.A Danza, Mariantònia Oliver, Nicanor de Elia e Iker Gómez en la calle, convertirán de nuevo a la ciudad portuaria en un referente nacional de las artes escénicas.
