Today we have lost a great dancer / actor who has graced us with memorable performances on stage, screen and television. Patrick Sawyze will be honored posthumously with the 2009 Rolex Dance Award on Monday, November 2, at Career Transition For Dancers 24th Anniversary Jubilee Gala at New York’s City Center.

Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo alumni Frederic Franklin, Raven Wilkinson and Eleanor D’Antuono; ABT Artist-in-Residence Alexei Ratmansky; and Morphoses/The Wheeldon Company Artistic Director Christopher Wheeldon will all be panelists in this year’s FREE DanceTalk series, three pre-performance discussions held before the Fall For Dance Festival performances at City Center, beginning on September 23. The series is free to the public.
