Ballet de Stuttgart

El Ballet de la Ópera de Stuttgart protagonizará en el Teatro Real de Madrid, "Romeo y Julieta" con coreografía de John Cranko y el acompañamiento musical de la Orquesta Titular del Teatro Real.

"Romeo y Julieta", ballet en tres actos basado en la tragedia homónima de William Shakespeare, con música de Sergei Prokofiev.

AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE SPONSORS

American Ballet Theatre has announced the first ever Page to Stage Poetry Contest, open to fourth and fifth grade public school students around New York City. The grand prize winner of the contest will have the poem choreographed as a ballet to be performed as part of the Young’s People Ballet Workshop at the Metropolitan Opera House on June 5, 2009  The winning poem and three runner-up poems will be published on ABT’s website.

IN MEMORIAM de Nora Kovach


Una triste noticia aparecida el pasado domingo 26 de enero, apresuraba los recuerdos en mi mente: Después de corta enfermedad, había fallecido en Bal Harbour, Florida, la bailarina húngara Nora Kovach, quien pudiera ser considerada entre los  primeros desertores del bloque soviético (por más que llamarlos refugiados era el adjetivo preferido de la época).

Holland Dance Festival 2009

The upcoming edition of the Holland Dance Festival will take place in the fall of 2009. We are currently compsoing the programme.

For almost three weeks, dance companies and artists from the Netherlands and around the world, will present some sixty performances in five theatres and at special locations. At the same time, an extensive variety of dance workshops will be offered. Also, a procession of more than a thousand amateur performers will dance through the centre of The Hague in the fouth edition of the Dansparade.
