La Temporada de Danza 2008-2009 adquiere este año una especial significación con motivo de cumplirse su 25º aniversario.
Para celebrar este aniversario se ha preparado una gran gala internacional 25 años de danza, que abrirá esta XXV temporada, con la actuación de la estrella Tamara Rojo, bailarina principal del Royal Ballet, Covent Garden de Londres.

HELSINKI INTERNATIONAL BALLET COMPETITION 2009
Helsinki invites young dancers and friends of dance from all over the world to participate in the sixth Helsinki International Ballet Competition to be held from 2nd to 11th June 2009.
The Competition will be organised by the Helsinki International Ballet Competition Association in cooperation with the Finnish National Opera and Finnish National Ballet School.

Akram Khan portrait unveiled
Akram Khan is currently starring with actor Juliette Binoche at the National Theatre, but he is also now appearing alongside fellow dancers Margot Fonteyn, Kenneth MacMillan, Carlos Acosta and Darcey Bussell – in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery.
The gallery in central London yesterday unveiled a portrait of Khan by the American-Iranian artist Darvish Fakhr. Khan is depicted in nine poses, which see him flexing his muscles, clenching a fist, holding his head in his hands and even giving the viewer the finger.
