The Swedish legend of choreography Mats Ek is back at The Göteborg Opera. This time he is bringing his own modern classic Sleeping Beauty with him.

For those who long for classical ballet the Royal Ballet from Stockholm has been invited for a guest performance, consisting of four performances of Swan Lake, toward the end of the season.
Our vision for the next two performance years includes a focus on female choreographers, including Sasha Waltz, for the 2011/2012 season.

Judith Jamison today announced that her mantle as Artistic Director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will pass to Robert Battle, a fast-rising choreographer who has created ballets for the Ailey company and Ailey II since 1999 and has served as an artist-in-residence with The Ailey School.

Limón4Kids is the newest Arts and Education program to introduce middle-school youth in largely Hispanic neighborhoods in New York City schools to modern dance and to modern dance pioneer José Limón.
The program focuses on the goals of dance-making, dance technique, dance literacy, and performing.

This spring the Bolshoi is presenting the premiere of Sergei Prokofiev's famous ballet in a production by Yuri Grigorovich. The Maestro's first Romeo at the Bolshoi was in 1979, but since then a lot of water has gone under the bridge
