Se estrena V.I.T.R.I.O.L. el nuevo montaje del coreógrafo y bailarín JORDI CORTÉS y la productora Alta Realitat.
Un montaje singular que nace a raíz de un taller de danza integrada que tuvo lugar el pasado mes de abril en Barcelona y que impartieron Adam Benjamin y Jordi Cortés. V.I.T.R.I.O.L. cuenta con 7 intérpretes en escena, entre los cuales hay bailarines y actores profesionales.
El Sueño de una Noche de Verano de George Balanchine
DE FORESTAS ENCANTADAS, SEGÚN LA HECHIZANTE PROSA DE SHAKESPEARE.
Inspirándose en la sublime partitura musical de Félix Mendelssohn — que además de la orquesta, lleva un grupo de voces femeninas –, George Balanchine crearía su encantadora versión de “El Sueño de una Noche de Verano”, de Shakespeare, en 1962 , para el New York City Ballet.

On January 20, 2010 San Francisco Ballet Artistic Director & Principal Choreographer Helgi Tomasson will be honored at the Ballet’s Opening Night Gala, Silver Celebration, on the occasion of his 25 years as artistic director of SF Ballet, the oldest professional ballet company in America.
Central School of Ballet
Central School of Ballet was established by Ann Stannard and the late Christopher Gable CBE in 1982. The founders wanted a school that valued the artistic expression in dance, as well as the importance of technique.
Each year around 100 Senior School students attend Central. The Senior School course is one of the most comprehensive dance programmes in the country, and helps students go on to careers in classical ballet, contemporary dance and musical theatre.

Houston Ballet 2010 Summer Intensive Program.
Houston Ballet’s summer program offers six full weeks of intensive classes. Students will have classes Monday – Saturday, with Sundays as their off days. Classes begin each day around 9:00am or 10:00am depending on the student’s level. The day usually concludes around 5:00pm; however, the schedule varies daily.
Levels 5-8 – June 21 – July 30, 2010.

Maria Bystrova, a member of American Ballet Theatre’s corps de ballet, has been named the third annual Jennifer Alexander Dancer, it was announced today by ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie.
In 2008, The Jennifer Alexander Memorial Fund was formed to honor the late Jennifer Alexander, a beloved member of ABT’s corps de ballet.
