GO GREEN as Moses Pendleton’s MOMIX, the company that defies categorization as easily as its dancers defy gravity, bursts onto the stage of The Joyce Theater with the premiere of Botanica from May 12 – 31. This magical theatrical experience in motion – the kind of provocative, whimsical entertainment that only MOMIX can deliver – is sure to seduce audiences and leave them enlightened and electrified.
PACIFIC NORTHWEST BALLET
The Joyce Theater is proud to present the Seattle-based Pacific Northwest Ballet, under the direction of former New York City Ballet dancer Peter Boal, from January 5 – 10. Marking its Joyce debut with this season, PNB will present several East Coast premieres incluring works by Twyla Tharp and Benjamin Millepied.

El próximo 12 de enero el Teatro Real estrenará una nueva producción de El holandés errante de Richard Wagner coproducida con el Liceu de Barcelona, en una sugerente puesta en escena concebida por Alex Rigola y dirigida por Jesús López Cobos, al frente de dos magníficos repartos, de la Orquesta Titular del Teatro Real (Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid) y del Coro Titular del Teatro Real (Coro Intermezzo).

Montserrat Caballé triunfa en el Liceu
Un Liceu lleno a rabiar y completamente de pie ovacionó la noche del 28 de diciembre a una de las cantantes de ópera más importantes del mundo y más queridas por el público catalán, la soprano Montserrat Caballé.
El día que cambió su vida llegó en el año 1965 en Nueva York, cuando cantó Lucrecia Borgia sustituyendo a Marilyn Horne. Al día siguiente un periódico neoyorquino titularía: «Callas + Tebaldi = Caballé».
