The 18th Benois de la Danse award ceremony and gala was an international star-studded event of the new stage of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow May 18.
Awards are given each year for the best choreography and the performance of the best roles by ballerinas and male dancers as well as other aspects of the spectacle of dance.

Continuing its 70th Anniversary celebration, American Ballet Theatre will offer a special pre-performance talk on Friday, June 11, at 6:00 P.M. Members of ABT’s alumni will gather to discuss Jerome Robbins’ groundbreaking ballet, Fancy Free, originally commissioned by ABT in 1944.

Stéphane Bullion interprètera le rôle du Mikado aux côtés de Marie-Agnès Gillot dans le ballet de Jiri Kylian Kaguyahime, présenté pour la première fois à l’Opéra Bastille, en alternance du 11 juin au 15 juillet 2010.

Julio Bocca dirige desde el 1 de junio el Ballet Nacional de Uruguay con sede en el Sodre (Servicio Oficial Uruguayo de Difusión, Radiotelevisión y Espectáculos).
El elenco nacional cumple en noviembre 75 años, pero será renovado totalmente por Bocca, que tiene un plan ambicioso para esta compañía. Uruguay no se había distinguido por un plan de desarrollo de la danza.
