POST-PERFORMANCE PARTY A NIGHT LIT UP BY WORLD CLASS STARS
Following the opening performance of The Hong Kong Ballet’s Galaxy: International Ballet Gala 2011 on 27th May 2011, the post-performance party, hosted by The Hong Kong Ballet Guild, was held at Busy Suzie Bar & Restaurant on the same night. International fashion house, Chloé, was The Hong Kong Ballet Guild Post-Performance Party sponsor, and Busy Suzie Bar & Restaurant was the venue partner.

The Hong Kong Ballet opens the new season with Swan Lake, the ultimate classical ballet.
The Hong Kong Ballet will open its new season with Swan Lake, staged at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre’s Grand Theatre from 19 to 21 August 2011. With Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov’s choreography set to enchanting music from Tchaikovsky and performed on gorgeous sets, Swan Lake is undoubtedly one of the world’s best loved classical ballets. No other ballet in the classical repertoire can rival it for drama, romance and intrigue.
Event to feature Paul Taylor Dance Company, Dance Theatre of Harlem Ensemble, Complexions Contemporary Ballet and more.
Ten emerging and world-renowned dancers, dance companies and choreographers will join two-time Tony Award-winner and celebrated dancer Bebe Neuwirth at Fire Island Dance Festival 17, the most anticipated cultural event of the season at Fire Island Pines. Scheduled for July 16-17, this outdoor celebration of dance is produced by and benefits Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
Naomi Goldberg Haas' DANCES FOR A VARIABLE POPULATION.
The unique group, with dancers up to age 81, will perform Naomi Goldberg Haas' new "Washington Square Dances" to help celebrate the renovation of the famous Washington Square Park. The dance is inspired by Terry Riley's 1964 composition "In C," remixed by contemporary composers.
In Honor of Reinhart’s Final Season, ADF Announces $43,000 Challenge
Durham, NC, June 16th, 2011 – The American Dance Festival (ADF) is pleased to announce a $43,000 Matching Gift Challenge that will benefit the newly established Charles L. and Stephanie Reinhart fund which supports commissions of new work, scholarships for aspiring dancers attending the ADF School, and other special projects that reflect the vision of Charles and his late wife and former ADF Co-Director, Stephanie Reinhart.

El rol de Swanilda correspondería a la conocida bailarina argentina, quien llevaría de compañero a Ángel Corella, asumiendo el rol de Franz.

GUEST ARTIST GUILLAUME CÔTÉ TO REPLACE CORY STEARNS IN CINDERELLA, WEDNESDAY MATINEE, JUNE 22, 2011 AT METROPOLITAN OPERA HOUSE.
Guillaume Côté, guest artist-in-residence with The National Ballet of Canada, will dance the role of Her Prince Charming in James Kudelka’s Cinderella at the matinee on Wednesday, June 22 at the Metropolitan Opera House. It was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie. Côté is replacing Cory Stearns who is injured.

Retired dancer Kevin O'Hare has been appointed the director of The Royal Ballet, it has been announced. O'Hare, who who trained at the prestigious school, said: "I want to continue to invigorate audiences with new work and emerging talents."
Kevin O’Hare is to become Director of the Royal Ballet when current incumbent Monica Mason retires in July 2012.
