Más de 100 festivales y teatros de ópera de 23 países europeos celebrarán el fin de semana del 7 y 8 de mayo el Día europeo de la Ópera.
Por quinto año consecutivo, organizado y coordinado por Ópera Europa y RESEO, este año se presenta el acontecimiento bajo el lema Jóvenes orejas. Una jornada, pues, dedicada a los niños y jóvenes y también a quienes descubren la ópera o quieren ampliar sus experiencias musicales.

The coming season features eight productions including a new production of Weill and Brecht's Aufsteig und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny. The season will also feature new productions to the company of Orfeo ed Euridice, Jenufa, Lucia di Lammermoor, Cavalleria and Pagliacci as well as revivals of the company's Rigoletto and Madama Butterfly.

Si acaso, en esta sustancia “proteica” que le es particular, es donde hay que buscar las razones de su recurrencia al mito de Prometeo, pues como indica el “II” en el título de esta más bien “performance”, estrenada en el Teatro de la Ville de París desde la semana pasada y hasta hoy 8 de abril, vuelve sobre el tema.

The American Dance Festival (ADF) will award Belgium’s distinguished choreographer, director, and filmmaker Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker with the 2011 Samuel H. Scripps/American Dance Festival Award for Lifetime Achievement. This most prestigious annual award for modern dance choreographers includes a $50,000 prize, the largest monetary award given for lifetime achievement.
