THE INCREDIBLE STORY OF TWO FAMOUS SCULPTORS IN ITS WORLD PREMIERE

Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal will kick off its 2011-2012 season with the world premiere of Rodin/Claudel, a new work commissioned from the young Canadian prodigy Peter Quanz, his first full-length ballet for the company. This neoclassical choreography depicting the tumultuous relationship between the two sculptors will be staged by a team of Canadian collaborators, including Michael Gianfrancesco, a costume and set designer from Toronto, and Marc Parent, the resident lighting designer at GBCM.

El Teatro Colon de Buenos Aires abre su temporada 2011/2012 con el importante estreno americano de "El Gran Macabro" y lo que podria ser un espectaculo espeluznante se transforma por gracia del arte vanguardista en una comedia iluminada por la luz negra de lo macabro.

El Ballet Estable del Teatro Colón abrirá el 19 de abril su temporada 2011, tras el conflicto laboral que mantenía con autoridades de esa sala y del gobierno porteño.

El Ballet, dirigido por Lidia Segni, hará "Trilogía Neoclásica", un programa compuesto por las reposiciones de "Nuestros Valses" y "Sinfonía en Do", y el estreno de "Margarita y Armando".

BOSTON BALLET PRINCIPAL LORNA FEIJÓO PERFORMS WITH SISTER AND SAN FRANCISCO BALLET’S LORENA FEIJÓO AND AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE’S JOSE MANUEL CARREÑO.

Boston Ballet principal dancer Lorna Feijóo makes a guest performance on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday, April 12 at 9 pm. Feijóo’s appearance will be part of Classical Week and the season’s first “Macy’s Stars of Dance” performance. Feijóo will appear with her sister, San Francisco Ballet principal Lorena Feijóo, and American Ballet Theatre principal Jose Manuel Carreño. Together, the three will perform a specially choreographed excerpt from Swan Lake.
