A NEW BOOK: CUBAN BALLET, by Octavio Roca

A NEW BOOK: CUBAN BALLET, by Octavio Roca. Published by Gibbs Smith, Utah, printed and bound in China.

This book is a beautiful edition, full of full-page color photos, and innumerable black-and-white photos of Alicia Alonso. The work also includes a tribute to two sisters, both dancers, Lorena and Lorna Feijóo. The former is with the San Francisco Ballet, and the latter with the Boston Ballet. Given the amount of text devoted to Ms. Alonso and the two sisters, the book should have been more appropriately entitled “With eternal love to my three Muses”.
