GISELLE – Stuttgart Ballet
With the revival of Giselle, the Stuttgart Ballet lures its audience away into the world of the classical-romantic ballet of the 19th century.
It is the new, 1999 version by Reid Anderson and Valentina Savina, based on the choreography of Jean Coralli, Jules Perrot and Marius Petipa. The story of the peasant girl Giselle, who has been seduced and betrayed by Duke Albrecht, dies of a broken heart and continues to dance as a "Wili" in the spirit world of Queen Myrtha, remains to this day one of the loveliest and most distinctive works of the classical repertoire.

Esta coproducción del Teatro con la Compañía Nacional de Danza, supone una relectura del libreto de Meilhac y Halévy para Bizet, que se presenta ante un auditorio joven que la recibe por vez primera, y que tendrá la oportunidad de disfrutarla a lo largo de cinco funciones (4 de ellas sólo para colegios).

Dance at the Music Center Announces 2010-2011 Season.
Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at the Music Center announces the eighth season of this international dance series. Seven companies representing the United States, Spain, Brazil, the Netherlands, and Cuba, will participate in 32 performances at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and Ahmanson Theatre, in a season that is the largest and most culturally diverse in the history of the series.
The season begins with Corella Ballet Castilla y León (November 5-7, 2010) at the Ahmanson Theatre.

LIMÓN DANCE FOUNDATION’S GALA PERFORMANCE AND DINNER HONORS PAQUITO D'RIVERA and THE STATE OF SINALOA, MEXICO, received by the Governor of Sinaloa Jesus Aguilar Padilla.
The Limón Dance Company continues its heavy touring schedule, and are presently on a 5-city tour of Switzerland. Last December they appeared in China, and May 18, the day after the Gala, finds them embarking on a 6-city tour of Mexico (performances in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Culican, Cuernavaca, and Puebla).
