It will be a triple first when the newly opened Jerome Robbins Theater at the Baryshnikov Arts Center presents the American debut of the young Swiss troupe Zimmermann & de Perrot in the U.S. premiere of “Gaff Aff.”
When Mikhail Baryshnikov saw the duo perform in Essen, Germany in 2008, he was determined to bring this “amazing show” to New York. Hence, the company’s five-day season at BAC, May 4-8, marking the first dance performance in the 238-seat Robbins.

Boston Ballet Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen announced today the programming for the 2010-2011 season. The season boasts an inspired line-up designed to showcase the Company’s signature range of classical, neo-classical, contemporary and world premiere dance. The 2010-2011 season will be the company’s second at its new home venue, The Boston Opera House.
BOSTON BALLET PRESENTS GEORGE BALANCHINE’S COPPÉLIA
Boston Ballet begins its spring season with the Company premiere of George Balanchine’s Coppélia, one of the greatest comic ballets of all time. This premiere makes Boston Ballet the only American company outside of New York City Ballet to present this work. Coppélia will take the stage at The Boston Opera House April 8-18, 2010.
