La XXI edición de Dansa València ha finalizado con la entrega del Premio Lladró al Intérprete que en esta ocasión ha recaído en el conjunto de bailarines que compone la compañía Nederlands Dans Theatre II.

La bailarina Sharmini Tharmaratnam
Tharmaratnam es una renombrada artista de danza clásica de la India dentro y fuera de España. La belleza de sus movimientos, su sobervia técnica y estilo excepcional, la han consolidaron como una de las mas importantes bailarinas actuales. Viviendo en Barcelona, desde hace cuatro años, expone sus habilidades como bailarina y coreógrafa junto a su compañía la «Sharmini&Co.», en donde revela, que ha unido la danza kathak con el flamenco, creando una fusión sobresaliente y prodigiosa.

DANIIL SIMKIN TO JOIN AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE AS SOLOIST
Daniil Simkin will join American Ballet Theatre as a Soloist in October 2008.
Simkin’s awards include First Prize at International Ballet Competitions in St. Pölten, Austria (2000); Vienna, Austria (2001); Perm, Russia (2004); and Varna, Bulgaria (2004), where he also won the Gold Medal. He won the Grand Prix at the International Ballet Competition in Vienna in 2004 and in Helsinki in 2005. In 2006, he won the Senior Gold Medal at the USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi.

Shen Wei Dance Arts FOR 2008 BEIJING OLYMPICS
SHEN WEI NAMED PRINCIPAL CHOREOGRAPHER and LEAD CREATIVE CONSULTANT FOR 2008 BEIJING OLYMPICS.
For the 2008 Olympics, Shen Wei created material for the ceremonies in New York City, working with the dancers from Shen Wei Dance Arts.The pieces will be performed by the Olympic dancers in Bejiing.
Nijinski: Soy un Dios alojado en el cuerpo de un toro
Le bastaron 10 años para construir su leyenda, en gran parte cimentada en su asociación con el coreógrafo ruso Mijail Fokin, quien creo para él los papeles que mejor se avenían a su físico de bailarín anticlásico, dotado de una rara plasticidad y una capacidad de elevación en virtud de la cual cada uno de sus saltos se convertía en un viaje aparentemente sin retorno de la tierra al cielo.
