La historia, inspirada en La bella durmiente del bosque, de Perrault, recupera todo su simbolismo y se convierte en un ballet para adultos. La revisión contemporánea de este clásico ha convertido esta coreografía en uno de los emblemas de la compañía.
La Belle estará en escena los días 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 y 11 de septiembre.

Historic building of the Bolshoi Theatre is closed for renovation from July 2, 2005 and will open in 2011.
The exterior of the building will remain nearly the same. The extensions along the Northern Facade that were previously used as scenery storage will be removed. The storage will be moved underground to allow for proper restoration of the rear faзade.
Number of the best construction companies from Moscow and abroad will take part in the renovation. The German company Bosch Rexroth, one of world's leaders in the field, has won the bid to supply the stage equipment for the Bolshoi.

El festival lanza este año propuestas que suponen un claro e interesante diálogo con el mundo en que vivimos; propuestas intimistas que harán viajar tanto al público especializado como al público en general; y propuestas que invitan al espectador a profundizar en una reflexión sobre la danza, haciéndolo partícipe de una parte del espectáculo que muy pocas veces se vive en escena, su creación.
New Dvorák Symphony cycle on Warner Classics conducted by José Serebrier with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Warner Classics is delighted to announce that José Serebrier has now started to record a cycle of the complete Dvorák symphonies with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Volume 1, to be released in September 2011, includes Symphony No. 9, “From the New World", the Czech Suite and two Slavonic Dances. Volume 2, to be released early in 2012, will include Symphony No. 7, In Nature’s Realm and Scherzo Capriccioso.
At a press conference at the IFA in Berlin today, the Berliner Philharmoniker announced that it has entered into a partnership with Samsung. The aim of this partnership is to present the audiovisual concert broadcasts and recordings produced by the Berliner Philharmoniker in the best possible quality on the Internet-enabled televisions from Samsung.
Since January 2009, the Berliner Philharmoniker have been broadcasting their concerts in HD quality on their own Internet platform, the Digital Concert Hall. About 30 concerts are broadcast live each season and are then available in a video archive, which already holds more than 100 recordings. There are also background reports, interviews, and documentaries.

La Fundación Mapfre, en colaboración con la Fondation Pierre Bergè-Yves Saint Laurent, presentará del 6 de octubre al 8 de enero en Madrid una gran exposición sobre el diseñador Yves Saint Laurent (Orán, 1936 – París, 2008), una muestra que pudo verse en el año 2010 en el Petit Palais de París y que se convertirá en la primera retrospectiva que se le dedica en España.
La muestra realizará un repaso completo a cuarenta años de creación y se desarrollará sobre una estructura temática dividida en once espacios que albergarán una selección de cerca de 150 modelos de alta costura y prèt-a-porter, más de 80 dibujos, fotografías y películas.
L’ouverture de la saison lyrique de l’Opéra national de Paris aura lieu le jeudi 8 septembre 2011 à 20 heures à l’Opéra Bastille avec la reprise de Salomé de Richard Strauss dans laquelle Angela Denoke chantera pour la première fois le rôle-titre à Paris.
Le Ballet de l’Opéra national de Paris fera sa rentrée le mercredi 21 septembre 2011 avec une soirée débutant par le Défilé du Ballet, suivi de Phèdre de Serge Lifar et de la création mondiale de Psyché d’Alexei Ratmansky.
