El XXIX Festival de Otoño en primavera acercará a Madrid obras de grandes figuras de la escena, como Peter Brook, Simon McBurney y su aclamada formación Complicite, DV8 Physical Theatre, Comédie Française, Robert Lepage u Odin Teatret, así como creaciones de artistas renovadores, entre los que destacan tg STAN, Mundo Perfeito o LOD I music theatre.

La danza llega al festival de la mano de jóvenes y consolidados coreógrafos como Pieter Ampe & Guihlerme Garrido, Antonio Ruz o Muriel Romero. Entre los creadores españoles destacan también Juan Navarro y Gonzalo Cunill, que presentan Tala, de Thomas Bernhard, o Xavier Bobés, que muestra la pieza de teatro de objetos Insomnio.

As part of its May 5-13 New York season, PERIDANCE CONTEMPORARY DANCE COMPANY, directed by Igal Perry, will present "Afternoon in Spain," a special matinee performance of Perry's "El Amor Brujo" to the sumptuous score by Manuel De Falla, performed live by the PostClassical Ensemble, conducted by Angel  Gil-Ordonez and joined by brilliant Flamenco singer Marija Temo, followed by a lively discussion on Flamenco and Spanish culture, Sunday May 6 at 2:30 PM.

This April, Cartier is pleased to present an exhibition titled Cartier & Aldo Cipullo, New York City in the 70s.

Curated and designed by Cartier in collaboration with Stefan Beckman, the exhibition will take place at the Cartier Mansion from April 13 through May 8. The exhibit will include approximately 40 jewels from the era as well as archival drawings, articles and scrapbooks.  Videos and a touch screen wall where guests can interactively access various articles and images from the seventies will be part of the state-of-the-art display.

El English National Ballet (ENB) anunció que la española Tamara Rojo será su próxima directora artística. La institución, una de las grandes compañías de danza clásica de Reino Unido, cuenta con 65 bailarines y una orquesta sinfónica. "Mi responsabilidad será artística, pero ahora también tendré que entender un presupuesto, saber lo que vende y lo que no y ser consciente de la rentabilidad de cada espectáculo".

"Mi misión será sacar lo mejor de cada artista. A las estrellas consagradas tendré que dejarles hacer y a los más jóvenes intentaré enseñarles a bailar y a reflexionar para que encuentren su camino", explica.
