The greatest of all Romantic ballets, Peter Wright’s production of Marius Petipa’s classic is a tale of betrayal, supernatural spirits and love that transcends death. Giselle, a peasant girl, has fallen in love with Count Albrecht, who has led her to believe that he is a villager named Loys. Her discovery of his true identity has devastating consequences.
English National Ballet School turns 25 during the 2013–14 academic year. The school will celebrate this anniversary with a series of events, starting with a live broadcast on November 28.
Presented by ArtStreaming TV, the broadcast will be a 90-minute live stream from the school, giving audiences a unique insight into the students’ daily life. It will include an interview with Tamara Rojo, artistic director of English National Ballet (ENB), and the chance to chat to the school via facebook and Twitter.

EL TEATRO REAL PRESENTA ‘THE INDIAN QUEEN’, DE HENRY PURCELL NUEVA VERSIÓN DRAMATÚGICA Y ESCÉNICA DE PETER SELLARS.
El Teatro Real presentará, entre los días 5 y 19 de noviembre, una nueva versión de la última semiópera de Henry Purcell (1659-1695), The Indian Queen, que el compositor dejó inacabada debido a su prematuro fallecimiento a los 36 años. La flexibilidad estructural que tenían en el siglo XVII este tipo de obras —las semióperas alternaban escenas habladas, cantadas e instrumentales— permitió al hermano de Purcell editar una “versión completa” póstuma de la partitura, añadiéndole piezas sueltas del autor y una mascarada final de su propia autoría.

The charity Kids Love Lambeth performs Russian classical ballet for children throughout Lambeth. Opportunity is made available to all regardless of background or means.
