ETHAN STIEFEL TO WITHDRAW FROM PERFORMANCES WITH AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE AT METROPOLITAN OPERA HOUSE
Ethan Stiefel will withdraw from performances with American Ballet Theatre this Spring, having focused on duties associated with his final year as Dean of Dance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Stiefel, a Principal Dancer with ABT since 1997, was scheduled for six performances during the Company’s 2011 season at the Metropolitan Opera House.

Sadler's Wells Associate Artist Sylvie Guillem has added an extra performance to her currently sold out run this July. The proceeds from this additional show, including the transaction fee, will be donated to the Japanese Tsunami Appeal, managed by the British Red Cross.

This Sadler’s Wells / Sylvie Guillem production features iconic dance-maker William Forsythe’s new duet for her and Paris Opera Ballet étoile Nicolas Le Riche.

La obra del coreógrafo sueco Mats Ek está bien representada en el repertorio del Ballet de la Ópera de París. In those fifty years, the Dutch National Ballet has developed into a leading ballet company with a unique character and a rich repertoire. It is a company with a tradition for innovation and with dancers from all corners of the earth, which has given performances all over the world – from Amsterdam to New York, and from Beijing to Moscow.

El Ballet de Lorraine (un Centro Coreográfico Nacional), es una de las más conocidas compañías francesas, de un alto nivel (y lo clásico se encuentra además en su repertorio), dirigida en el pasado por figuras como Patrick Dupond o Pierre Lacotte.
Didier Deschamps, quien le ha otorgado un impulso “contemporáneo”, está al frente de la compañía desde 2000, aunque su mandato artístico expira pronto.
