Mansur Kamaletdinov has been the director of the Vaganova Summer School and his Master Class Program since founding it in 1994.
Mansur’s mission is to preserve and pass on the legacy of Classical and Character Dance: unique and vanishing art forms that can only be kept alive through the passing on of this knowledge to dedicated dancers. With over sixty years of experience, Mansur is a lifeline from the origins of this art form to today’s passionate students and teachers.
WILL PRESENT THE COMPANY PREMIERE OF KATHRYN POSIN’S STEPPING STONES
The National Ballet of Bulgaria will present the European and Company Premiere of Kathryn Posin’s Stepping Stones on June 9, 10 and 11, 2011 at the Opera House in Sofia, Bulgaria. Kathryn Posin’s Stepping Stones, set to a commissioned score by Joan Tower, received its world premiere by the Milwaukee Ballet in 1993. Stepping Stones has also been danced by BalletMet, the Hartford Ballet, and the Kansas City Ballet.
Nina Dipla est née à Thessalonique. De 1980 à 1985, elle est membre de l’équipe nationale grecque de gymnastique rythmique. Elle commence la danse classique chez Aspa Foutsi et elle continue avec Daniel Lommel puis intègre le centre de danse internationalle Rosella Hightower à Cannes. À 17 ans, elle signe son premier contrat avec le Théâtre National de Thessalonique.

El Gran Teatre del Liceu que había recibido el año 1955 la visita del Festival Wagner, un acontecimiento que conmocionó a la ciudad, volverá a acoger el Festival de Bayreuth al inicio de la temporada 2012-2013, coincidiendo en el año 2013 con el bicentenario del nacimiento de Richard Wagner.
El mes de septiembre de 2012 el Liceu acogerá a la orquesta, el coro y los solistas del Festival de Bayreuth con tres óperas de Richard Wagner en versión concierto: Der fliegende Holländer (El holandés errante), Lohengrin y Tristan und Isolde.
American Ballet Theatre II es una compañía clásica compuesta por catorce jóvenes bailarines de extraordinario talento, cuidadosamente seleccionados en distintas partes del mundo por la dirección artística del American Ballet Theatre, preparados para formar parte de la compañía principal u otras compañías internacionales de renombre. En su decimosexta temporada y bajo la dirección Kevin McKenzie, Director Artístico del ABT, y de Wes Chapman, Director Artístico del ABT II, la compañía presenta un variado repertorio, reflejo de las tradiciones del American Ballet Theatre.

Mika Kurosawa is one of the representative artists who have lead the Japanese contemporary dance. `The rose person series” is a Kurosawa’s solo dance. This time was a duo with Naomi Takano who has been Kurosawa’s friend for long time. Those two are well connected to Japanese Modern Dance; the styles of Baku Ishii and Toshi Komori, and contemporary dance.

John Cranko’s wonderful choreography, based on William Shakespeare’s eponymous comedy, is back. A scant eight years after the last performance of The Taming of the Shrew the ensemble of the Bavarian State Ballet is in the throes of preparations for the revival on February 26, 2011.

A partir del 20 de enero y hasta el 5 de marzo el escenario del Liceu acoge Anna Bolena de Gaetano Donizetti de la que se harán un total de 10 funciones. Estrenada el 20 de diciembre de 1830 en el Teatri Carcano de Milán. Estrenada en el Gran Teatre del Liceu el 17 de abril de 1847.
Es una nueva producción del Gran Teatre del Liceu dirigida escénicamente por Rafa Duran y musicalmente por Andriy Yurkevych.
