The Prix de Lausanne is a dance competition reserved for young student dancers aiming to pursue a professional career. It is open to candidates of all nationalities between the ages of 15 and 18. It has been held each year for a week at the end of January since 1973.
Competitors benefit from individual discussions with members of the jury, take daily lessons and workshops, meet dance professionals and share their experiences with competitors from a wide range of countries.
Finals of the competion is on Sunday and is open to the public.

The Prix de Lausanne is an international competition for young dancers of all nationalities aged 15 to 18 who are not yet professionals. The Prix de Lausanne is a large, family-like group of people, all of whom offer their time and competence on a voluntary basis, except for the secretariat's permanent staff, who are paid employees.
Ethics and respect of the artists are top priorities for the persons running the Prix. In this chapter, you can check who these persons are, what exactly we are trying to do and the history behind it.
You can also see where our finances come from as we are a non-profit cultural foundation which depends solely on the generosity of its donors. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require additional information of any kind.
