Colección del Musée Marmottan Monet, París
El Museo Thyssen‐Bornemisza presenta este otoño, por primera vez en España, una exposición monográfica dedicada a la artista impresionista Berthe Morisot. Gracias a un importante acuerdo de préstamo, se exhibirán más de treinta obras procedentes del Musée Marmottan Monet de París, junto a otras pertenecientes a las colecciones Thyssen, que permitirán descubrir una pintura elegante y luminosa a través de paisajes, escenas cotidianas e íntimos retratos femeninos.

Preparations are under way for the Mikhailovsky Theatre Grand Prix, the annual show-competition for students at Russian schools of choreography.
This year’s ‘Competition of High Hopes’ (as it is known among ballet professionals) will bring together students and teachers from Moscow, Perm, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Ufa, and St Petersburg. Ballet-lovers will be able to experience the talents being nurtured in Russia’s leading choreographic schools during the young dancers’ performances on 30 November and 1 December.

Moments In Time – two world premières by Chinese choreographers
The Hong Kong Ballet commissioned three of today’s most promising contemporary choreographers, Peter Quanz, Kinsun Chan and Fei Bo to create new ballets for the Company – the result is a trio of powerful, thought-provoking ballets. The creative process continues as Kinsun Chan and Fei Bo have started rehearsals in Hong Kong to share their vision with the dancers.
All three works will be featured in Moments In Time, to be staged at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre’s Grand Theatre from 4 to 6 November 2011.

American Ballet Theatre’s 2012 season at the Metropolitan Opera House and lead casting was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie. A new production of John Cranko’s Onegin, with scenery and costumes by Santo Loquasto, and the New York Premiere of Alexei Ratmansky’s The Firebird will highlight the 2012 Spring Season.
