Metamorphosis: Titian 2012 – The Royal Ballet


‘Metamorphosis: Titian 2012’ – featuring new work by contemporary artists Chris Ofili, Conrad Shawcross and Mark Wallinger in a unique collaboration with The Royal Ballet.

This multi-arts project, part of the Cultural Olympiad’s London 2012 Festival, will draw on the powerful stories of change found in Titian’s masterpieces, revealing how these spectacular paintings continue to inspire living artists.

Costa Contemporánea en su tercera edición


Costa Contemporánea se consolida y se expande en su tercera edición

Los espectáculos, abiertos al público almeriense, tendrán lugar en el Castillo de San Felipe (Los Escullos) y el Auditorio de Rodalquilar  Almería. Este año Costa Contemporánea afronta su tercera edición con un evento cargado de novedades, pero con las premisas de siempre. Del 5 al 9 de septiembre tendrá lugar este Encuentro de Danza y Artes Escénicas en el Cabo de Gata, entre Los Escullos y Rodalquilar. Tras tres años de trayectoria, llega la consolidación y expansión de Costa Contemporánea.

Since its founding in 2008, TAO Dance Theater has taken China’s dance world by storm. L’ÉTOFFE DE LA MODERNITÉ, COSTUMES DU XXe SIÈCLE À L’OPÉRA DE PARIS PROLONGATION JUSQU’AU 14 OCTOBRE DE LA NOUVELLE À LA BIBLIOTHÈQUE-MUSÉE DE L’OPÉRA.

L’Opéra national de Paris et la Bibliothèque nationale de France retracent l’odyssée du costume de scène à l’épreuve de la modernité en exposant au Palais Garnier les créations des plus grands artistes du XXe siècle, de Marc Chagall à Yves Saint Laurent, dessinés pour les chanteurs et les danseurs de l’Opéra national de Paris.

NEW COMPANY MEMBER ANNOUNCED: REI AKAZAWA JOINS TAYLOR 2

The Paul Taylor Dance Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of its newest Taylor 2 member, Rei Akazawa.

Ms. Akazawa was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, where she began her ballet training (Royal Academy of Dance), under the direction of Yuko Kojima. She graduated cum laude with a B.F.A. in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College, receiving the Gold Key for Excellence.
