John Sebastian Bach‘s Matthew Passion has deeply moved me. Bach‘s musical incarnation of the Passion in both its general and personal aspects created the need in me to find a choreographic equivalent. I am both Christian and a dancer. Natalia Osipova, principal dancer at Bolshoi Ballet Moscow, will dance the role of Princess Aurora on February 11, 2011 at the Bavarian State Ballet.

Desde que leí el fascinante libro sobre la increíble biografía del bailarín chino Li Cunxin, hace algunos años, mi mente divagó sobre un recuerdo que se me escapaba.
¿Dónde había visto yo bailar a ese bailarín antes? La respuesta no acudía a mi mente. Ahora, después de ver la película “Mao´s last dancer” (El último bailarín de Mao) , la encontré.

A passionate descendant of Martha Graham, Buglisi is here inspired by letters that extol different forms of love – romantic love, love of country, love of self – a range of wonderful letters from Pliny to Calpurnia; Queen Victoria to Prince Albert; Napoleon to Josephine; Zelda to Scott, and many many more. Buglisi's magnificent dancers and expressionistic theatricality are accompanied by an original score by Daniel Brewbaker.

“Anna Karenina”: dramatismo a la rusa.
El Teatro de los Campos Elíseos de París acogió recientemente al Eifman Ballet Teatro de San Petersburgo, una de las insignias del ballet ruso, compañía fundada por el coreógrafo Boris Eifman (nacido en Siberia) en 1977, aunque sólo a partir de los ’90 fue reconocida en toda su pujanza, y no sólo en Rusia. Anteriormente, Eifman “molestaba” por no plegarse al academicismo y a lo aceptado como “oficial”. Eifman luchó, sobrevivió y fue fiel a sí mismo, como persona y como artista.
