VALENTINA KOZLOVA IS FOUNDER/DIRECTOR OF THE NEW BOSTON INTERNATIONAL BALLET COMPETITION
Valentina Kozlova is pleased to announce the first Boston International Ballet Competition, scheduled for May 12-16 in John Hancock Hall, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. A major teacher of the Vaganova method, Kozlova has also distinguished herself as both a competition judge and coach of young dancers, many of who have medaled in competitions around the world.
Season's opening with Principals and Corps de ballet of the Staatsballett Berlin Prices include 10 EUR charity premium.

Once a year the company of Staatsballett Berlin makes his audience – and itself – a special present. With the ballet gala we are celebrating the prelude of our new season. Choreographic masterpieces, curiosities of ballet history or complete new contemporary pieces will be performed. The special nature of this event is always the programme. What the artists would like to show to the audience is co-sculpting the evening. Therefore surprises should be taken into account.

In the September 20th issue of the New Yorker, out on newsstands now, there is an extensive and very positive review by Joan Acoccella, of Scheijen’s book, Diaghilev: A Life. SELECTED SOUTH AFRICAN CANDIDATES’ ACCEPTANCE TO ATTEND THE CECCHETTI INTERNATIONAL-CLASSICAL BALLET COMPETITION AND SUMMER SCHOOL IN MANCHESTER, UK, 2011
Auditioned South African candidates who are selected to compete in the Cecchetti International-Classical Ballet Competition, Manchester, UK in 2011 are required to submit written notification, no later than 21st February 2011, of their acceptance to attend the above.
Co-presented by Hong Kong Dance Alliance and Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), commissioned by Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) and the support of World Dance Alliance, the International Dance Symposium will be held at HKAPA from 25 to 28 ovember, 2010.
This year’s theme is Connecting Conversations: Choreography ow! in Chinese Communities, which aims to draw the world focus on Chinese artists working in the Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, and in other Asian countries as well as artists of the Chinese diasporas working around the world.
“Dancing Through College and Beyond” will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2010. Registration begins at 9am and the sessions begin at 10am; the conference ends at 5pm.
To be held at The Juilliard School, Lincoln Center Plaza, 155 West 65th Street, New York, NY 10023, this day is for students, parents and teachers to explore dance opportunities beyond high school.
