Featuring guests from American Ballet Theatre, Stuttgart Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, National Ballet of China and The Tokyo Ballet.
Every big birthday deserves a big party. In 2012, The Australian Ballet marks 50 outstanding years on the stage and we’re celebrating with an international gala. Guest artists from American Ballet Theatre, Stuttgart Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, National Ballet of China and The Tokyo Ballet will perform a dazzling suite of pas de deux including excerpts from Don Quixote, Giselle, After the Rain© and Manon. Providing the icing on the (birthday) cake will be the stars of The Australian Ballet stepping out in Harald Lander’s classical party piece Études.
The gala and the appearance of international guest artists made possible by a generous gift from the Joan and Peter Clemenger Trust
