El Teatro Real recuerda a Federico García Lorca

¡Viva Lorca! cuenta con la colaboración y el apoyo de la Fundación Federico García Lorca, que ha cedido generosamente 87 fotografías, 41 dibujos y un valioso documento cinematográfico de la compañía estatal de teatro universitario La barraca.

La soprano María Rodríguez, la pianista Celsa Tamayo y la bailaora Nuria Pomares protagonizan ¡Viva Lorca! envueltas en unas conmovedoras proyecciones. Con música de Amancio Prada y Miquel Ortega sobre versos del poeta, y del propio Federico García Lorca sobre canciones populares.

En agosto se cumplen 75 años de su muerte.

The international ballet festival is one of the most significant events in the ballet season, drawing ballet-lovers from all over the world to St Petersburg.

The main strategy of the festival is to attract stars of world ballet to Russia’s cultural capital. Regular participants in the festival include Mariinsky Theatre stars Diana Vishneva, Ulyana Lopatkina, Alina Somova, Viktoria Teryoshkina, Yekaterina Kondaurova, Igor Zelensky, Leonid Sarafanov, Andrian Fadeyev and Vladimir Shklyarov.

The Mariinsky Theatre brings its ballet hits to the Golden Mask

During the Golden Mask festival the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre will be hosting the Mariinsky Ballet’s programme of Mariinsky Theatre Premieres in Moscow.

This time the Mariinsky Theatre has brought premieres from last season to the capital including a performance of Spartacus on 13 March, while from 15 March and the two subsequent evenings there will be performances of Anna Karenina with choreography by Alexei Ratmansky – one of the world’s leading contemporary choreographers.

Barenboim y Rattle dirigen concierto por Japón

Daniel Barenboim y Sir Simon Rattle dirigirán el próximo 29 de marzo a las 20 horas (de Europa central) un concierto de la Staatskapelle Berlin y de la Berliner Philharmoniker a beneficio de UNICEF en Japón, con obras de Piotr Chaikovski y Johannes Brahms, anunciaron este martes sus organizadores.

El concierto se realizará en la sede de la Filarmónica de Berlín, será transmitido en directo por internet (www.digitalconcerthall.com) y todos los ingresos serán vertidos a los programas de emergencia que presta el Fondo de Naciones Unidas de Ayuda Internacional a la Infancia, tras la tragedia en Japón

JORDI SAVALL dirigirá los solistas de la formación Hespèrion XXI y el conjunto vocal La Capella Reial de Catalunya en el próximo concierto del día 24 de marzo a las 21h en la Basílica de Santa María del Mar de Barcelona en que ofrecerán Las Vísperas de San Jorge del compositor catalán Joan Pau Pujol.

Sadler's Wells is delighted to present the world premiere of a mixed programme devised and performed by internationally acclaimed dancer Sylvie Guillem, for four nights only in July.

The evening features works by three of today's most important choreographers: a new solo by Mats Ek, a new duet by William Forsythe (created especially for Guillem and Paris Opera Ballet star Nicolas Le Riche), and a film by Jiří Kylián, which is followed by a duet from his work 27'52''.
