Cine: Los Nibelungos, de Fritz Lang en el Liceu

En el marco de las actividades del Bicentenario de Wagner, el Liceu presenta Die Nibelungen, el film de culto Fritz Lang. Con música original y en directo, interpretada por la Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya (JONC) y con una nueva copia restaurada de la cinta de 35mm, este pase visibiliza la consideración del cine como un séptimo arte.

Le Ballet de Cuba sous la dictature

D’avantage de liberté financière et artistique. Sur cette revendication, à la mi-mars, sept danseurs du Ballet national de Cuba âgés d’à peine 20 ans ont faussé compagnie à leur troupe venue se produire au Mexique. L’un a demandé l’asile politique au Mexique, les autres ont franchi la frontière en bus pour se rendre aux États-Unis. Pour ne pas mettre dans l’embarras le reste de la compagnie, ils ont attendu que les représentations de Giselle soient terminées.

Les SAISONS RUSSES du XX1e SIECLE, 2013

RETURNS to the LONDON COLISEUM – JULY 16TH-20TH 2013 following a triumphant Coliseum Diaghilev Festival debut in 2011 and four successful seasons in Paris at the Theatre des Champs Elysees

Andris Liepa, former Bolshoi Ballet star turned ballet entrepreneur, is to return to the London Coliseum with his company Les Saisons Russes du XX1e Siecle from July 16th to July 20th 2013. The company will perform three programmes – a total of six ballets – which will include the London premiere of Cléopâtre – Ida Rubinstein, choreographed by Patrick de Bana plus five of Mikhail Fokine’s greatest works: Le Spectre de la Rose, Scheherazade, Chopiniana, Polovetsian Dances and The Firebird.

Benois de la Danse Award Nominees-2013

The nominees for the 21st annual Benois de la Danse Awards, well known as the Oscars of the ballet world, were announced today at a press conference here. The awards will be presented May 21 at a ceremony and gala at the Bolshoi Theater of Russia here.

The nominees included Justin Peck, a choreographer with the New York City Ballet; a ballerina, Maria Kochetkova of the San Francicso Ballet, and a male dancer, Taras Domitro, also of the San Francisco Ballet. The nominees came from eight different ballet companies in six countries. The nominees follow.
