Muere la bailarina estadounidense Maria Tallchief
La legendaria bailarina del New York City Ballet, Maria Tallchief, que fue esposa y musa del coreógrafo George Balanchine, falleció el jueves en Chicago a los 88 años, anunció su familia este viernes.
Su esposo y coreógrafo Balanchine creó para ella papeles a su medida: además de “El pájaro de fuego”, fue la reina de los cisnes en el “Lago de los Cisnes”, el hada de azúcar en “El Cascanueces”, Eurídice en “Orfeo”. Los dos se casaron en 1946 hasta su divorcio en 1952. No tuvieron hijos.

On Saturday, April 6 during New York City Ballet’s evening performance at the Royal Opera House in Copenhagen, H.M. Queen Margreth II of Denmark, who was in attendance that evening, made NYCB Ballet Master in Chief Peter Martins a Commander of the Knights of Dannebrog, at a private reception during the first intermission of the evening.

Ryzhova creció en Moscú y es aquí donde comenzó su formación en danza a los 9 años. Desde entonces, ha continuado su vida aprendiendo y compartiendo su pasión por el ballet. Se graduó en 1973 en la Academia Estatal de Coreografía de Moscú, una de las más antiguas y prestigiosas escuelas de ballet del mundo. Más tarde, se incorporó en la Academia Teatro Musical Stanislavski y Nemirovich-Danchenko donde actuó como solista en diversos ballets clásicos y modernos además de participar en gira por distintos países occidentales.
Cómo obtener un cuerpo de bailarina
Si lo que quieres es tener un cuerpo de bailarina, los hechos pueden ser algo desalentadores.
Una bailarina profesional debe medir entre 5 pies y 2 pulgadas y 5 pies y 8 pulgadas de altura (1,57 y 1,73 m.), ser delgada y ágil, tener una relación miembro-torso perfecta, un cuello largo, una cabeza pequeña y pies arqueados a la perfección con una buena punta. No puedes hacer mucho respecto a tu estructura ósea, tu altura y contextura, pero sí puedes conseguir una figura un poco más similar a la de una bailarina.
