The Sleeping Beauty Children’s Audition 2012

The Hong Kong Ballet will present the beloved classical romantic ballet The Sleeping Beauty from 15 – 17 March 2013 at the Auditorium of Sha Tin Town Hall.

We are inviting talented young people to audition for roles in the production – successful applicants will have the chance to share the stage with our Company dancers and they will also meet and rehearse with the Choreographer Cynthia Harvey, former Principal Dancer of American Ballet Theatre and the Royal Ballet, in one of the rehearsal sessions.

The Limón Dance Company is proud to announce a collaboration with the remarkable Simón Bolívar National Youth Choir of Venezuela, composed of 100 glorious voices from “El Sistema,” founded in 2006 by José Antonio Abreu and conducted by Lourdes Sánchez. Esta exposición muestra 60 fotografías realizadas por el reconocido fotógrafo de moda Manuel Outumuro a modelos creados por Cristóbal Balenciaga entre 1935 y 1968. Los modelos retratados pertenecen a la colección de la Fundación Cristóbal Balenciaga y constituyen un magnífico ejemplo de la mejor creación del modisto de Getaria, desde la destacada influencia parisina de sus primeros años hasta la calidad arquitectónica de sus diseños de los últimos años 60.

Principal ballerina of the San Francisco Ballet Yuan Yuan Tan has been cast in a new role and it’s not onstage.

The Shanghai-born ballerina appears in the newly-released Gap fall campaign (above) among up-and-coming musicians and dancers.Tan, principal at the SFB since 1997, is also a brand ambassador for Van Cleef & Arpels and Rolex.
